Real people doing real work with real horses.

Perry Cragg
Certified Equine Assisted Therapist
I have spent many years around many animals especially horses. But it all started when I was 5 years old. We had chickens and pigs but my favourite was the couple of pet goats that we had. It was not long before I used a bale twine bridle and rode them around. Moving on to getting my first pony when I was ten. Horses have been part of most of my life and I still ride whenever I can. Through my own experiences and my wife Paula working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health I have realised how the amazing properties that just being around horses brings to one's mental and physical health. With further thought and study I became a certified Equine Assisted Therapist. Working alongside Paula and Sam and several horses and ponies to help children navigate through younger years to being caring adults. My objective using the approach of Holistic Equine Therapy making the awareness of the presence of horses and their ability to create a relationship of trust and reflection of emotions. Creating individualised interactional sessions designed at client's pace and autonomy in a relaxed natural environment.
My Philosophy
"My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens at the speed of trust. I don't measure progress in hours or sessions, I measure it in moments: the first time a child reaches out to touch a horse's nose without prompting, the slow relaxation of a tense shoulder, the quiet confidence of a young person who arrived afraid. Horses provide an honest, non-judgmental mirror that humans struggle to hold up for each other. My role is simply to hold the space."

Sam Wooler
Lead Horsewoman & Equine Learning Facilitator
With over 30 years of experience working with horses and a lifetime of riding since the age of 2. Sam has built a deep understanding of the powerful connection between humans and horses. Her approach centres on confidence, communication and care, teaching people not just how to ride or handle horses but how to truly listen to them. Through equine assisted learning and hands on care, Sam helps individuals build trust, empathy and self belief in a calm, supportive environment. Her sessions encourage participants to slow down, observe and connect creating a foundation of respect that strengthens both horse and human. Inspired in part by her own neurodiverse son and the profound difference horses have made in his life. Sam is passionate about making horsemanship and equine learning accessible to other neurodiverse children. Guided by patience, positivity and decades of experience, she creates a space where growth happens naturally, in partnership with horses.
My Philosophy
"Horses don't respond to what you say, they respond to what you feel. In 30 years of working with horses I have witnessed transformations that are hard to put into words. My approach is built on three simple foundations: patience, presence and genuine connection. When we slow down enough to truly listen to a horse, we often start to hear ourselves more clearly too. Every child who walks into this yard is met without judgement, by me and more importantly by the horses."

Paula Henley-Cragg (MA)
Child & Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner
Paula brings formal Child and Adolescent Mental Health expertise to the Equine Therapony team. Working alongside Perry and Sam, she provides comprehensive, evidence-informed support for young people. Together, the team creates a safe, nurturing space where therapeutic goals are met through the remarkable sensitivity, honesty and grounded presence of horses.
My Philosophy
"Children communicate in many languages before they find their words. Sometimes the most important therapeutic work happens in silence, watching a horse respond, feeling the weight of its breath, or simply being still in a field. My role is to bring clinical understanding to what Perry and Sam create, to ensure that each child's individual needs are recognised, held and met, at their own pace, on their own terms."
